As there are a little over two months left in the year, I went back to reviewing my goals. From the number of books to write, book sales to achieve, and other creative projects, it now seems these require a push to finish.
With "magic" as my word for the year, it has provided a sense of anticipation, excitement and a little wonder to reviewing my goals. Now, however, it is about making magic happen to turn creative ideas, projects, or hidden illusions into reality through planning, practice, and skill.
As noted by author, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, "Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen."
Try This: Lean into Making Magic
Turn your creative ideas, projects, or goals into reality through careful planning, practice, and skill. Here's a great way to start leaning into making magic:
- Get out of your own head - Write out a list of key steps to take to move forward.
- Roll up your sleeves - Choose one thing from your list that you can do today to get you going.
- Take deliberate action - Use the momentum of taking the first step to watch the magic happen as you get inspired to take step two!
The good news about these steps is that as you start to see movement in your goals, there might be a realization that you can't achieve without help. It might be an accountability partner like a friend or coach to encourage your motivation and focus.
