Show Your Gratitude Attitude

Having just spent the week at the 2025 Author Nation conference in Las Vegas, both as a speaker and an attendee, it was fun yet overwhelming! With more than 1,200 authors and lots of vendors that serve the writing community, it was a great conference to seek out those things you needed to focus on for a writing business and career.

Connecting with writer buddies like Charlotte, Kathy, Cheryl, and others over meals added to the fun.  And then, the final day was Reader Nation where authors and speakers had tables to sell their books to other attendees and the reader public.

During the later afternoon at Reader Nation, I took the opportunity to walk the huge ballroom filled with rows of displays, amazing book covers, and chat with other authors. When someone thanked me for my presentation, or gave me a compliment, or wanted to connect after the conference, it reminded me of the power of gratitude.

Try This: Show Your Gratitude Attitude

The idea came to me about being more focused on being thankful to create my gratitude attitude. Here is a fun list of things to try this week to jumpstart yours:

5 - High five at least five people a day this week
4 - Write four Thank You notes
3 - Send an email check-in to three elderly or homebound family members/friends
2 - Treat two friends to coffee this week
1 - Give yourself a smile each day in the mirror A great benefit of using these gratitude boosters is the number of smiles you will get in return from family and friends this week!
