Smile. Breathe. Relax.

As the holiday season ramps up, are you pulling out decorations and setting menus for holiday dinners?  With Thanksgiving a week and a half away, time is flying by which can mean finding time to get everything done is a bit stressful!

Here's a good quote from Esther Hicks/Abraham, "We want you to breathe rather than try, to relax rather than offer effort, to smile rather than struggle, to be rather than do." *   The idea of making sure to stop and focus on the moments of joy and fun, gave me an idea for this week.

Try This: Smile. Breathe. Relax.

Whenever you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious about getting everything done or the demands of holiday events, you can take a moment to:

  • Smile - the bigger, the better, even if you feel silly.
  • Breathe - inhale for a count of 4 and exhale for a count of 6.
  • Relax - raise your shoulders and then drop them at least three times.

The ideas of crazy smiling, breathing deeply, and simply shrugging your shoulders to relax, are all great ways to shift to peaceful and focused. The best thing is these take a couple of minutes and you’re not missing a step in your holiday fun!
