Lean Into Your Spunk

During the Olympics, there was a reference to someone having spunk. It caught my attention because I thought about the athletes having the mindset to push themselves to achieve big goals.

Yet, exactly what is spunk? It is a fun word that is defined as "courage and determination." Having spunk is having courage and determination to succeed or accomplish something.

"Never slow down, never look back, live each day with adolescent verve and spunk and curiosity and playfulness. If you think you’re still a young pup, then maybe you are, no matter what the calendar says." John Grogan*  author of Marley & Me.

When looking over goals and "to do" lists, the amount of work can seem daunting. Yet, with a little perseverance, the dream is achievable.
