During morning walks, I love to listen to favorite experts like Wayne Dyer who offered so many wonderful insights during his lifetime. This morning, it was a comment that hit me about how one thing pushes success away.
The "aha" from Dyer was, “… the outer world is a delayed reflection. What you see now is the echo of yesterday's consciousness."*
In essence, if you have a dream or goal, it is key to not let assumptions from the past persist in pulling you back.
Try This: Simply Use a Change in Direction
Wayne also said, "One assumption deeply felt can change the direction of your life." To make a simple shift when the outer world does not match your dream, here are some questions that he suggests using:
- How would I be thinking right now if I were already successful?
- How would I feel right now if I were already abundant?
- How would I respond right now if I knew life was supporting me?
- How would I carry myself right now if fulfillment were my natural state?
The ability to keep believing in your dream or goal can be enhanced with catching yourself with "That was the old consciousness speaking. I choose again." Let's all choose again to fulfill our dreams!
