Be Bolder NOT Older

When talking with girlfriends, the subject usually turns to health changes as we age. And sometimes we talk about how younger people begin to treat your graying hair and wrinkles as the indicator that you can't possibly know things relevant to today.

It's hard to look in the mirror and see the person you've aged into,  not looking the same way that you did as a younger person. This often leads to a comment like, "Getting old is not for sissies!"

Young people adapt and are savvier with the fast-paced change of technology, yet I try to keep up to avoid being put out to pasture.

Try This: Be Bolder NOT Older

Everyone ages, so coming to grips with the "new you" means older and wiser, not finished. And these steps this week are good for anyone to get bolder:

  • Learn new skills by watching a YouTube video
  • Explore new ideas by reading a book and joining a book club
  • Strengthen your body by stretching and taking a walk

You may not have graying hair and wrinkles, having new skills or ideas at any age gives us confidence and something to offer. Engaging our minds, expanding our creativity, and getting stronger can make you feel wiser and bolder. Plus, adds a little more fun every day!
