Ah, the dog days of summer are almost over with Labor Day coming fast. If you have enjoyed fun vacays like me, these may have impacted your ability to focus on projects and goals.
Seeing the kids going back to school means there are just 4 months left in the year. It's time for a focusing reset on those things that I have put off to have fun!
A favorite pundit of mine, Dr. Wayne Dyer,* said, "Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. This five-minute-a-day regimen of appreciation and gratitude will help you to focus your life in awe."*
Try this: Five Minutes to Find Focus
Here is a fun way to get started to be ready for focusing on goals this Fall:
- Set a timer for five minutes each morning this week.
- Turn off your phone, computer, or TV to eliminate distractions.
- Clear your mind by using meditation or favorite music.
- Once calm, think about a goal or project.
- When ideas pop into your mind, write down the one thing you can do today, no matter how small, to move forward.
