Stuck? Call a Buddy!

Staring at a laptop screen or the mess on my desk sometimes makes me crazy. Even if I want to get going, my mind teases me to get another cup of coffee!

When you are faced with goals, projects and normal life stuff, anxiety can creep in. If it starts to actually make you feel stuck, I have a solution.

Try this: Stuck? Call a Buddy!

Often when faced with a lot of stress, tough situations or a loss, a friendly ear with some emotional support is the ticket. Here are some ideas:

  • "I'm feeling stuck with a problem, so can you talk about it with me?" A buddy can help you brainstorm solutions.
  • "I'm not sure how to handle a situation, can I run it by you?"  A buddy can offer an outside perspective to help you evaluate your situation more clearly.
  • "I need to vent, so do you have a few minutes?" A buddy can simply listen to your concerns without judgment and offer a supportive presence.

The benefit of calling a buddy is to talk about your challenges to help alleviate stress and anxiety. Sometimes it's great to have a jumpstart from a different point of view!
