As we approach Thanksgiving, sometimes getting the decorations out, the meal list prepped, and the shopping done, we forget about the benefit of the holiday. It's a wonderful reminder to acknowledge all the things for which we're grateful.

Try this: Create a Thankful List

For this week, pull out a notepad or open a new file on your laptop or phone. Take a deep breath to relax and get into a mindset of gratitude. Here are a few questions from best-selling author, Natalie Ledwell,** to reflect on:

  1. What am I grateful for right now?
  2. Who are the people in my life that bring me joy and support?
  3. What makes me feel happy and content?
  4. What are some positive aspects of my current situation?
  5. What recent successes or achievements can I celebrate?
