As we approach Thanksgiving, sometimes getting the decorations out, the meal list prepped, and the shopping done, we forget about the benefit of the holiday. It's a wonderful reminder to acknowledge all the things for which we're grateful.
Being thankful is "the feeling or expressing gratitude." *
Try this: Create a Thankful List
For this week, pull out a notepad or open a new file on your laptop or phone. Take a deep breath to relax and get into a mindset of gratitude. Here are a few questions from best-selling author, Natalie Ledwell,** to reflect on:
- What am I grateful for right now?
- Who are the people in my life that bring me joy and support?
- What makes me feel happy and content?
- What are some positive aspects of my current situation?
- What recent successes or achievements can I celebrate?
