With the fast-paced lives most of us lead, including having work projects, volunteering, family duties, and other events, it can cause anxiety or irritability. Is it your ego protecting you from over-doing things?
Saw this quote and it made me think about how hard we can be on ourselves:
"Just when you feel you have no time to relax, know this is the moment you most need to relax." Author Unknown
Try This: Feeling Off? Try a Reset!
Saw some fun ways to give yourself permission to step away to get re-energized. Then, you will feel better to attack your "to do" list. When stressed this week, here are some reset ideas:
- Do 3 deep breaths to relax and distract yourself to relieve anxiousness.
- Take a mind break by daydreaming about a fun wish or dream to reach for the excited feeling.
- Get in the gym or go for a quick walk outside, maybe do some yoga stretches, all can help to regain your balance.
- Put your phone down to limit those triggering media stories or social media rabbit holes to stop the chatter in your mind to regain your thoughtfulness.
For me, the quickest reset is the deep breathing which helps me relax and focus. Every morning, I do a walk which starts my day in a positive way. What techniques help you?
