Positively Refreshing

Last week a little rain fell, and the morning air was so fresh and clean smelling. The short storm cleared away the dust and a little breeze pushed the clouds across the sky.

Made me think of the quote by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow*, “Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and dreary.

Yet, I thought how rain does help to clear things away as well as create a fresh start. Rain is nurturing to grass, flowers, and trees.

An unexpected obstacle or event can be like rain and may clear the way for something new to appear. So, when negative emotions have crept in, a few simple exercises can get you moving in a positive way through your day.

Try this - Positively Refreshing

While things may be peachy in your life, sometimes a little rain does fall. So, here are three ways to clear your mind:

  1. Minute of meditation - enjoy peacefulness and breathe deeply.  Try one of mine (click here)
  2. Smiling while counting for 17 seconds - Repeat as needed
  3. Drinking 8 ounces of water slowly - Suggested is 8 glasses a day

The idea of a quick refresh is just the thing to get you moving forward with a smile on your face!
