Recently, when trying to sell some land that my dad had purchased in the 1950s, we again had glitches appear. It was the third time the land had been under contract in the last decade. So, needless to say Denny's and my joy levels have dipped each time there has been another "issue."
When something you've hoped for seemingly fails, it is hard to be joyful or happy as you go through the day. It got me thinking about how important it is to be able to recover.

It's so true that a moment of joy can dispel negativity or disappointment - even if it is by sheer distraction!
Try This: Grab A Little Joy Today
There's research to show that joy boosts our immune systems, fights stress, and helps us live a longer life. Here are some ways to increase your joy for today:
- Take a walk in the sunshine and enjoy nature.
- Be kind to yourself with a favorite treat.
- Write an email to a friend with a compliment.
- Send a text to a family member offering a fun memory.
- Put on a favorite pop song.
