One of my favorite contemporary movies for holiday cheer is The Polar Express. I just love when the Conductor says, "Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can't see."*
So often, though, the holidays create those little doubts and concerns about not getting the right gifts, being ready for holiday events, or forgetting something. It's a human foible that we can conquer with a little positivity.
Try This: Jumpstart Holiday Cheer with Cheer!
For a fun list of ways to dispel those nagging doubts and holiday issues, consider cheering them away. Here is a great starter list from Hallmark's Idea List blog**:
- Play music and sing songs.
- Start a new family tradition.
- Make something yummy.
- Take time to be grateful.
- Be a good neighbor.
If you find yourself dancing to holiday music, maybe a little twirling, you've got holiday cheer! Then, share your cheer. It will help get all of us into alignment with joy, happiness, excitement, and expectation.
