Make a happy moment

Last week, did you jot down a plan to get you moving toward your dream or personal goals? If so, hopefully you found a plan helps you to organize your day, week or month. A key factor is if it motivates you to get things done.

Ideally, you put things on a To-Do list or mark steps on a calendar.  A list of reminders can help move you forward.  The key is not to let the To-Do list grow too long because it may be overwhelming and drain your motivation. Let's consider an easy way to bolster your motivation - use happiness.  Here is a great quote to consider:

"Try to make at least one person happy every day. If you cannot do a kind deed, speak a kind word. If you cannot speak a kind word, think a kind thought. Count up, if you can, the treasure of happiness that you would dispense in a week, in a year, in a lifetime!"
-Lawrence G. Lovasik, American Clergyman and Author*

Try This: Make a Happiness Moment

As noted in the quote by Fr. Lovasik, he gives us ideas of how to build happiness in our lives. Lift your spirit and motivation today with these ideas:

  • Help someone with a project
  • Hold the door for someone
  • Compliment a family member or friend
  • Smile and say "hello" to acknowledge a stranger
  • Create a "Happy List" of things that inspire you

What other ways can you generate a happiness moment that makes you and another person smile today?
