There’s Magic in Affirmations

There are times when the news can be so bleak, and it can bring down your mood or send you down a rabbit hole.  One helpful solution to combat negative media, distractions, or disappointments is to use affirmations.

"Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes."*

The key is to turn your focus on the good things in your life and put a smile on your cute face!

When you start the week, one thing is to write affirmations to use each day.  Once you do, it's amazing how things appear like magic.  Here are a few starters:

  • My future is…
  • I trust…
  • I love my…
  • Life is…

My morning always starts with a "Moment of Reflection", and I use a list of affirmations to get pumped up for the day. Once you get in the habit, your affirmations become a great way to turn on positive emotions and greet your day with a smile.
