In developing a path to a goal or a dream, we often find roadblocks of our own making. To navigate around those roadblocks, it is handy to have a mantra, a "go to" phrase that lifts your spirit.
Do you have a quote that is your guiding light?
Brene Brown revealed her favorite quote on the Today Show in October from Maya Angelou, "You are only free when you realize you belong no place. You belong every place. No place at all. The price is high. The reward is great.”*
The quote is about having a sense of belonging. To her, belonging is key to understanding how you look at the world. The biggest barrier to belonging is trying to fit in, especially when wanting to achieve something new, like a dream or goal.
When you notice roadblocks on your path, you need a guiding light.

To get you started, I'll share mine. A friend created this in beautiful calligraphy and framed it for me as a Christmas present. It is Joshua 1:9 (NIV): "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."**
